National Cupcake Day for the Animals

Join us on February 23rd, 2026, for National Cupcake Day and help us help the animals at the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes (HSKL)!
New this year: Cupcake Day is sweeter than ever—you can participate any day throughout February. If February 23rd doesn’t work for you, simply choose another day (or days!) that fit your schedule. Every cupcake sold counts, and the real winners are the animals in our care.
This heartwarming fundraiser is all about spreading joy through delicious cupcakes while supporting vulnerable animals with shelter, nutritious food, vital medical care, and help finding loving forever homes.
How to get involved:
- Sign up to sell cupcakes by emailing Shawna at ssommerville@hskl.ca
- Spread the word to friends, family, and coworkers and start taking cupcake orders
- Purchase a “Pawsome Cupcake Kit” from Burns Bulk Food—or bake using your own supplies
- Host a bake sale at work or with friends and donate the proceeds to HSKL
- Bake cupcakes and drop them off at HSKL on the afternoon of February 22nd
- Donate online at hskl.ca
- Talk about Cupcake Day and encourage others to participate
- Purchase cupcakes on February 23rd from participating sellers;
